(SRI SATYANARAYANA SWAMY TEMPLE)
History: Visakhapatnam is a popular place
for tourists as well as locals due to its geographic conditions and orientation.
Sea, hills and large grounds make visakha one of the most loved cities in
India. "Isuka Konda" is located near King George Hospital area.
Locals say that the temple of Sri Satyanarayana Swamy is 200 years old. A man named Sita Ram Babaji
built the temple. There is a five stair"Raja Gopuram" in the entrance
of the temple. It has the Idols of different Goddesses and
"Dasavatharas". Through this the devotees, enter the main part of the
temple. The female devotees do "Deeparaadhana" at the "Dwaja
Sthambha" in "Gharbhalaya". This mainly takes place on every
Friday and in "Karthikamasam”(November). The Dwajasthambha is made of five
metals ("Pancha Loha"). Many devotees come here to see the God every
day. The entire place looks and feels so spiritual due to it architecture and
the God himself. There is a speciality for this temple i.e. the idols of the
God and the Goddess has both black and white stone idols at the same place.

day: Arrangements are made on Pournami every month
to perform special pujas and sri satyanarayana swamy vrathams.
